number 12 seed, cal bears, who later this afternoon will take on the number five seed, unlv. both teams practicing yesterday during a session that was free and open to the public. cal is seeking redemption to make up for a poor showing during last year's ncaa tourney when they were taken out early on. even coach montgomery speaking to us yesterday admitted that they were not mentally prepared at the time. this game against unlv is also significant because it is a rematch for both teams. the last time cal played the rebels was in december. cal lost by one point. there's a lot of pressure to answer that loss. and speaking to fans this morning, cal fans are hoping for a little payback. >> i was at that game. luck, that was all luck. they went on a good run at the end of the game. cal should have had it. cal was actually off that game, too. >> reporter: what do you think of the vibe today? >> today, this is like a home game for them. they'll have the crowd and i think they'll be ready. >> hope it's just as close a game, except i hope we win this time. >> reporter: you take a look up a

preschool teacher -- angela cal-cagno. right now -- cal-cagno is not in custody and authorities have not filed any charges against her. but police say she has been questioned. leaders from the center pointe preschool and church held a parents-only meeting in pleasanton tonight. they're talking about the allegations against the former teacher. new at 11. kron4's scott rates was at that meeting with more on why parents are concerned. one parent after another most of them silent after tonight's closed door meeting held by the leaders of centerpoint church and pre-school. our cameras not allowed during the meeting, however in a press conference after the meeting a spokesperson for the pre-school had this to say about the incident. he's talking about angela cal-can-o she resigned from her job as a teacher here at the pre-school on jan, 18. this after police say the mother of a 2-year-old girl who attended the school said she saw a picture of her daughter taken by cal- can-o after she allegedly tied the toddler up with masking tape for refusing to take a nap church leaders say they understand

phone call in this project was to cal trans. in cal trans working together with the bay area with the mayor's office here in the county of san francisco and coast guard, official wild life, all of these came together to find a way when typically the system is designed to say no, people found a way to say yes to this project. the arts commission, this collusion support from the san franciscmuseum of modern art. i apologize for the folks i will be missing because this is a cast of a thousand that made this happen. we certainly love our lawyers in this process. morrison who helped it become a very established and professional way in getting the contract involved in getting this project to an amazing legal footing. the technology network in san jose who made this a crucial project. i want to call out a thanks to or tactical team. we know how to make it small, not over 150 feet in the air. we have a studio, zone engineering and i have to say thanks to hmr who has been a rock star and directly one of the reasons this is happening. an extremely talented project. thank you all. i also want to

. this is burning near antioch on lower sherman island. this part of the island is uninhabited, so cal fire will not put any resources out there and let it burp. leigh glaser tells us winds are light in this area, up to five-miles-an-hour so we can expect to see the smoke in the air for some time until this burns out. >>> firefighters stopped a fire from spreading to any nearby homes after it broke out inside a carport in mill valley. the fire started around 2:30. firefighters saw smoke from several blocks away as they approached the scene. nobody was hurt. the flames did damage two cars. investigators are looking into what caused this fire but do not believe it's suspicious. crews also had to carefully dispose of paints and other chemicals that had been stored in this carport. >> a former supervisor, general shirakawa, jr. is expected to plead guilty to charges of misusing taxpayers money. he used public money and campaign money for things like parties, golf games. the district attorney's office says shirakawa faces up to one year in county jail and $50,000 in fines. >>> two ohio high

those issues. one is that 1500 medi-cal [speaker not understood] that will come from the tenderloin. and everyone, a lot of the seniors that we talk to that i work with are either they don't have health insurance or they are going to be receiving benefits through medi-cal and we want to know and they ask me, how am i going to be able to access this? hospital? how am i going to be able to access the services? one of my tenants was here, he wanted to speak, but had to leave. he is at st. luke's. he lives in the tenderloin and want to see can he go to that hospital. in work force development, there are a lot of folks who i work with who have been out of jobs for a long time and they would like to start working, but getting that -- getting to that pipeline to be able to access a resource to be trained and getting actually placed in the job is another matter. that's a difficult matter. we ask that the supervisors will continue to ask the hard questions and monitoring what would that enforcement community oversight look like many. and lastly i want to say we support the nurses. we want to
